NOTE: Photos shown are of a prototype, and some images show non-stock configurations. Production bicycles feature changes and refinements to the frameset, geometry, and specifications. See frameset and build details at right. Noteworthy spec changes not seen in the prototype images: Ravn color is a paler gray, not so dark and green. The Ulv has no front-derailleur cable stop. The extra set of rear fork eyelets has been removed. The production rando rack on both models will have five M6 mounts and two sets of struts (one offset for wider forks). We specified different rims for both complete builds after testing various designs. Both bikes feature updated geometry, corrected axle-to-crown lengths, exclusive new custom steel (see Design), and a new metal headbadge.

Stalk, journey, and race through the wilderness

Designed for fast and fun XC Adventure, the Ulv is a drop-bar mid-fat rig with rando, MTB, and bikepacking DNA coiled together within its high-performance steel. Attack trails and devour high mileage over challenging terrain. Load up the camp kit and get lost. Go wild. This beast was born to thrive in the backcountry, whether your aim is singletrack shredding, dirt rando, epic exploration, or all of the above.

Ulv bike in wilderness

The Ulv features low-trail geometry, intuitive handling, and a super-premium Rawland Staal tubeset, for responsiveness and energy return, lightweight strength, and a lively ride. We’ve been dreaming of this bike for a few years, but the tires, rims, and drivetrain needed have only recently become reality.

The Mid-Fat Rando

Whether you call it 650B-plus, 27.5" mid-fat, or 27+, we believe that 650B wheels running roughly 3" rubber make for a phenomenal experience when you’re out exploring serious singletrack, traveling long distances through the roughest stuff out there, or randonneuring into the back of beyond. (You can also run 29er wheelsets; just mind your effective outer diameter and bottom-bracket height.) Part of Rawland’s Berserkerverks line, the Ulv is a smart, swift, and tough adventurer, like its legendary namesake.

Ulv is pronounced ULF. That’s Viking for “wolf.”
